Kindergarten

Sasha Prosser
TK Kindergarten Teacher
Sasha has been teaching at SunRidge since its opening, bringing her passion for early childhood education and holistic learning to the classroom each day. With a background in Waldorf education and a multiple-subject teaching credential from Sonoma State, Sasha believes in nurturing the whole child—head, heart, and hands.
Prior to joining SunRidge, Sasha attended an early Waldorf childhood training program and volunteered as a craft teacher in her daughters' classes. She later completed the four-year Waldorf Teacher Training program through the Center for Educational Renewal. Over the years, she has taught kindergarten, guided a class from first through fifth grade, and led another class from first through eighth before returning to kindergarten in 2019.
Sasha’s teaching approach is rooted in fostering curiosity, cultivating kindness, and encouraging independence. She finds joy in creating a nurturing environment where children can explore, learn, and grow at their own pace.
Outside the classroom, Sasha enjoys spending time in nature, a passion that often inspires her lessons and storytelling. She feels grateful to be part of the SunRidge community and to support students on their journey of growth and discovery.

Molly Heacock
Morningstar Assistant
Molly has been the Morning Star Kindergarten assistant since the beginning of 2025, following a year of assisting in both kindergarten classes. She brings years of experience working in a Waldorf preschool and parenting three children at the Sebastopol Independent Charter school. It is there that her love for Waldorf education blossomed.
In addition, Molly has experience working as a teacher at Alchemia, a non profit organization serving adults with special needs. For seven years she assisted in teaching dance, oil painting, cooking and gardening.
Molly has always been interested in natural medicine, having taken classes in acupressure and Shiatsu massage. That led to her journey working at the Wellness Department at Oliver’s Market for eight years.
This brings us to today where she comes full circle to her previous love of working with children and sharing her healing and nurturing talents.
In her everyday life she enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, and attending musical events with her husband.

America Taylor
Dragonfly Teacher
America Taylor brings a deep love for childhood and more than a decade of experience in education to her role in the Dragonfly Kindergarten. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts from Fresno Pacific University and is currently pursuing her California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential along with a Master’s degree in Education through UMass Global University.
Her teaching is grounded in Waldorf principles that honor rhythm, imagination, meaningful work, and time in nature. As both an educator and a parent, America aligns her family life closely with Waldorf values, fostering simplicity, wonder, and a strong connection to the natural world.
In addition to her classroom experience, America has coached cross country and track and served for two years as President of the Parent Teacher Organization at her children’s school, supporting strong and collaborative school–family partnerships.
Raised in a Catholic household and proud of her Mexican–Salvadoran heritage, America values cultural richness and enjoys learning alongside children and families from diverse backgrounds. She is excited to bring her experience, warmth, and curiosity to the Dragonfly Kindergarten and looks forward to growing alongside the children each day.

Esther Allison
Dragonfly Assistant
Esther joined the Sunridge Kindergarten team this year as an Instructional Assistant. She previously spent several years as the school's After Care Coordinator, where she formed lasting relationships with families and faculty. She brings a passion for creative expression, cultural storytelling, and hands-on learning with her to Sunridge Kindergarten. With a background in early childhood education, play-based English instruction, and the arts, Esther believes in nurturing the whole child—head, heart, and hands.
Prior to joining SunRidge, she taught English to children in Hong Kong through play and storytelling, and studied art and design in San Francisco. Since moving to Sonoma County in 2012, she has supported a range of subjects at Castle Preschool, Orchard View School, and Sunridge and continues to weave crafts, culture, and creativity into her work with students.
Outside the classroom, Esther enjoys fiber arts, gardening, cooking, and spending time with her family—including the dog, the cats, and the 25 cheeky chickens. She feels grateful to be part of the SunRidge community, which she has called home since her highschooler began first grade.
