SunRidge HomeSchool Program Grades K-5

February 9, 2021
Dear SunRidge Home School Applicants,

We appreciate your interest in the SunRidge Home School Program.  For the past 9 years, it has served families seeking a Waldorf-inspired homeschool education program. We are saddened to inform you that due to fiscal and practical concerns the Charter Council has had to make the hard decision to close the program at the end of this school year and will not be taking applications at this time or holding a lottery for next year.  However, the Charter Council is committed to reviewing the school’s ability to bring the program back as soon as resources and opportunity will permit.   This decision was made last week after reviewing many factors, including the school-wide restrictions on time, energy and resources brought on by the pandemic.

With the Home School Program closing, we encourage you to consider SunRidge’s regular in-school program. Applications and more information regarding this program are on the website.  We have two prospective parent evenings scheduled - one for tomorrow, February 10th, and the other on February 23rd, both at 6:30 pm.  If you are interested in attending, the zoom link to both meetings can be found on the website.  The application deadline is February 26th.  We are sorry to have to announce this and hope you will continue to consider SunRidge for your children’s education and growth.

Warm Regards,

Karen Ertel
