SunRidge Freedom, Equity, and Anti-racism Team
How has systemic racism and oppression in all of its forms contributed to the shaping of our beloved school’s curriculum and organizational structures?
How does it affect it today?
What can we do about it?
How can each of us individually, and all of us together, make a difference to end systemic racism and injustice?
Please join the SunRidge Freedom Equity and Antiracism Team (FEAT) to work through these difficult questions and do what we can to make positive changes for our kids, ourselves, our school, and our community.

Resources For Addressing Violence Against Asian Americans
Racially motivated hate crimes involving physical violence and harassment, and targeting Asian Americans, have been in the news locally and nationally. These are not isolated events; since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, inflammatory and xenophobic rhetoric, harassment, and violence against Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) persons, families and communities have increased. From the New York Times:
"In the summer of 2020, the Stop A.A.P.I. Hate Youth Campaign interviewed 990 Asian-American young adults across the United States about their experiences during the pandemic, and found that one in four youth had reported experiencing racism in some way."
Hate against some of us harms all of us. SunRidge's Freedom, Equity, and Anti-Racism Team (FEAT) is made up of parents, faculty, administration, and community members. FEAT invites you to join us in condemning this racial scapegoating and violence - and we offer the following resources to our community members.
