Class Teacher Applications Accepted At Any Time
SunRidge Charter School actively seeks class teacher applicants in advance of known openings for the upcoming school year. Qualified Applicants must have a California Teaching Credential, or be enrolled in a credential program, and will have the enthusiasm and love of children that we consider most essential in an effective teacher. Essential qualities include the ability to respect and engender the respect of students of all ages, the knowledge, skill, and presence to connect with students of all temperaments and ability levels, the skills to work collaboratively with colleagues, administration, and parents, and a good sense of humor. Skills in art, music, and drama are a plus. Experience and/or certification as a Waldorf class teacher are highly desired. Otherwise outstanding applicants who do not have adequate Waldorf training or experience may be considered, but must be enthusiastic about learning Waldorf methods and philosophy through training and study. SunRidge is a school of the Twin Hills Union School District. Our teachers are employees of the school district and receive a competitive pay and benefit package as per district policy. Teachers receive annual step pay increases in addition to periodic cost of living increases, and participate in the State Teachers Retirement System. Application packets may be submitted by email (mrice@sunridgeschool.org), Postal Service mail (487 Watertrough Road, Sebastopol, CA 95472), or delivered in person. Packets should include an application, a resume, a letter of introduction specifying grade level interest and other biographical information, and at least two letters of recommendation. Applicants on file will be notified if and when an opening occurs. |
